Rebooting your Security System - Honeywell Vista

Rebooting the System

Honeywell Vista (10, 15, 20, 32, 128)

Rebooting from the AC input

  1. Locate the junction box. This will be most commonly found in a closet or in the attic.

  2. Follow the AC cable and unplug it from the wall/outlet.

  3. Open the junction box and unplug the red wire from the backup battery.

  4. Unplug the LT Cable barrel connector

  5. Once this has been done then the power to the system should be completely down.

  6. Reconnect all of the wires that were disconnected in this process and your system will successfully boot back up.

Most Hardwired Systems

  1. Locate the Junction box/Master control panel. This panel is typically located in a garage, attic, basement or closet.

  2. There should be a schematic on the opened cover of the panel.

  3. You will either unplug the AC cable from the wall/surge protector, or you will disconnect the AC power from the junction box by following the schematic.

  4. You then need to remove the red wire from the battery backup.

  5. When you complete these steps the system will power off completely.

  6. Reconnect all of the wires that were disconnected in this process and the system will automatically boot back up.
